David has been involved with CrossFit since 2007, opening the first affiliate in Denton County in 2008. He holds a bachelors degree from McMurry University where he studied Communications and Physical Education. He has been personal training and coaching athletes since 2001. David holds certifications in CF Level 1 (’08), CF Endurance (‘08), CF Kids (‘09), USA Weightlifting (’10), CF Olympic Lifting (’10), CF Football (’10), CF Level 2 (’14). David believes CrossFit is the best overall fitness program and a great way to push your limits as a competitor. He has competed in numerous CrossFit competitions including the three years at the CrossFit South Central regionals (2009, 2010, 2011). He also competed in the 2010 CrossFit Games Affiliate Cup, finishing 30th. He currently competes in the Olympic Weightlifting. Away from the gym, David enjoys spending time with his wife Lindsey and their sons Dawson and Graham. His fall weekends are filled with hunting trips and Notre Dame football. He and Lindsey lead a home group and are covenant members at The Village Church in Flower Mound.

Jamie grew up and currently resides in Flower Mound. Her high school daughter, Brynn, is really involved with sports. Between Brynn's school sports, CrossFit and weightlifting they are very busy! Aside from CrossFit coaching, Jamie is an auditor with FedEx Office. Jamie grew up playing all sports, but soccer was always her favorite. She still plays recreational soccer for fun! Jamie started CrossFitting in 2011 and decided to share her passion with others when she got her CrossFit Level 1 in 2015.
Matt started CrossFit in July 2017 and was immediately hooked. As a previous two-sport collegiate athlete, CrossFit provided for Matt something that had been missing in his regular weight training: community, competitiveness, and opportunities to learn new skills. He decided to get his Level 1 in June 2018 so he could share his energy and passion for the sport with others. Matt, his wife Sam, and their dog Porter moved to Denton from Wisconsin in 2015. Matt has his earned his MA in Sport and Performance Psychology from the University of Denver, his MS in Counseling Psychology from University of North Texas, and is currently working on his PhD in Counseling Psychology, with an emphasis in Sport and Performance Psychology.
Karen currently lives in Flower Mound after moving here with her husband, Shane, and children (Jarrett, Hallie, and Peyton) from New Jersey in 2015. She joined CrossFit Flower Mound one week after arriving in Texas and immediately felt like part of the community. Karen spends her days (and often nights) taking care of her three active children in high school, middle, and elementary school as well as taking care of her mother who lives locally. Karen’s life-long love for exercise drew her to try CrossFit on her 40th birthday. After years of running, endless aerobics/step classes, kickboxing, boot camp, and Pilates, she finally found the sport of fitness that satisfied her competitive drive and desire for continuous results. While her education and professional experience was in business, Karen joined the staff in 2018 as an instructor and obtained her CF Level 1 to help motivate and work with others. Karen has competed in several local competitions in NJ and Texas, the CrossFit Open, and most recently qualified for the master’s online regional competition in the 2018 CrossFit Open. Outside of CrossFit, she enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time with her family.
Amanda lives in Northlake with her husband, Art, daughter Romie (2016) and son Joaquin (2017). Amanda completed her degree in health and physical education with an endorsement in special education. She taught self contained special education in LISD for 5 years before becoming a stay at home momma. Amanda found CrossFit Flower Mound in 2012 to help supplement her summer workout for her college soccer team. Amanda fell in love with CrossFit because of the constant variation in the workouts and the weightlifting. Amanda joined the staff in 2018 and obtained her Brand X Method kids certification to coach the kids and teens classes. Outside of CrossFit, Amanda enjoys spending time with her family, watching trashy TV shows after her kids to go bed (lol) and going on lunch dates with her dad.
Matt and his wife, Sarah, live in Denton. He is currently finishing a Doctoral degree in Exercise Physiology at TWU. He found CrossFit while looking for a new challenge and variety. It was a plus that he was really great at CrossFit as a sport. He decided to become a CrossFit coach because he loves personal health and fitness and wanted to share that passion with others. Matt has competed in several competitions. A few of them include winning the All Cities Open in 2009, competing as a team in the CrossFit Games in 2010, and placing 6th 2011 and 4th in 2012. Matt is really involved at The Village Church and he enjoys hanging out with his wife and friends outside of CrossFit. He also enjoys playing video games!
Andy and his wife Cristi live in Flower Mound and have three sons Curtis, Aaron and Ethan. He has worked for Citibank for 21 years leading their Operational Risk area. Always an active person, Andy has run two marathons, several half-marathons and many 5K and 10K races over a 25 year period. After an Achilles injury in late 2016 and 6 months on “Injured Reserve”, he joined CrossFit Flower Mound in July 2017. He earned his CrossFit Level 1 certification in January 2019 and is excited to have the opportunity to coach and share what he has learned while encouraging and challenging everyone as they pursue excellence in fitness.
Lindsey and Dave live in Flower Mound with their sons, Dawson (2014) and Graham (2016) and Kennedy (2018). Lindsey completed a degree in Elementary Education in 2010. She found CrossFit in 2008 when Dave (boyfriend at the time) introduced her. Prior to CrossFit she ran, participated in a bootcamp and did a few machines at a local gym. She fell in love with CrossFit because it offered variety, so results were continuous. She decided to become a CrossFit coach in 2010 when she realized that her passion for fitness was bigger than teaching in a classroom. Her passion for kids has transformed into running the kids program as well as helping with the female sports training. Lindsey has competed in the CrossFit Games in 2010 as part of a team, The CrossFit Open several years, Oktoberfest Obliteration and the Europa War Games. Outside CrossFit, Lindsey enjoys loving on her two Ori Pei pups, Rip and Libby. She and Dave are also home group leaders at The Village Church. Lindsey also enjoys crafting and finding new projects for sewing and decorating the house.

Jimmy lives in Flower Mound with his wife, Jennifer, his daughter Ella and 2 dogs Roxy and Max. Outside of CrossFit he works at TEKsystems as Sr. Account Executive. Before that he spent 8 years in the Navy as a Sonar Technician on submarines stationed in San Diego, CA and Groton, CT. His first serious attempt at a healthy life style was at the age of 39. He spent a couple of years training for triathlons with the goal to do an Iron Man. During the off-season he attended a CrossFit class and realized he was hooked from that point on. He joined Crossfit Flower Mound in 2012 and received his CrossFit Level 1 certification in November 2013. During his time in CrossFit, he realized how much he loves Olympic weightlifting and has spent the last 2 years focusing his training on the snatch and clean and jerk. He is a member of our own barbell club, CrossTimbers Barbell. He has competed in several local CrossFit team competitions over the years and recently qualified for Master’s National in Olympic weightlifting. He realized that he has a passion for coaching and teaching others everything he’s learned from his experiences. His goals are to focus primarily on mobility and lifting techniques and encourage others to be their best they can be to get the most out of life.
James lives west of town in Lantana with his wife April and two sons Jameson and Mason. Day job is being a Civil Construction Contractor but on Wednesdays and Fridays and 11 James plays really good music and coaches CrossFit.
James started training at CrossFit Flower Mound in December of 2013, became a coaching intern in the fall of 2017, got Level 1 certified and became a coach for CFFM in the spring of 2018.
James feels lucky to be able to coach and to give back to the community that has been so kind and accepting of him over the years.
When not at work or the gym, James is chasing his kids around town, taking his family camping, traveling with his wife or stumbling into some sort of adventure.
Also of note, James did not get to participate in many sports growing up. He was overweight most of his life. Then in 2013 he lost over 100 pounds, found CrossFit and has never looked back. CrossFit keeps him fit, makes him stronger and allows him to do things everyday that he only dreamed about doing as a kid.
Mallory grew up in Flower Mound and coaches basketball and teaches accounting at her alma mater, Flower Mound High School. She played college basketball at Southern Methodist University and her love for basketball is what brought her back home. She started CrossFitting in 2015 as a way to stay active after college and she enjoys the community that CrossFit provides as well as the fact that she gets to continue to be an athlete. Outside of CrossFit, Mallory enjoys spending time outdoors paddle boarding and fishing and spending time with her sister, Macey.
Matthew Cramer lives in Flower Mound with his parents and younger sister. He is currently attending Flower Mound High school as a senior. After high school, he plans to attend college. He started CrossFit in 2013 doing private training with Dave. In 2015 he decided to take his fitness level up a notch. He joined the adult classes, and soon found a greater passion for CrossFit. He wants to spread the help and knowledge he received as an athlete to others. In August of 2018 he obtained his CrossFit Level 1 and started coaching for CFFM later that month. He has competed in the CrossFit Open 2018 placing second in one of the teen divisions. He enjoys live music, hanging out with friends, and going to school sporting events.
Heinrich was born and raised on the East Coast of South Africa, and in 2010 moved to the United States. He has always been pretty active his entire life, and doing things he enjoys the most such as; playing rugby, biking, running and swimming. In 2015 he stumbled into his first CrossFit gym in New Castle, CO after years of wanting to test the waters. From then on, he became hooked and impressed with the variety CrossFit had to offer. In 2016 he became a member of CFFM, and in November of 2018 he decided to take the next step and attain his L1 certification. Other than being a part time CF coach, he has a career in aviation where he works as a full-time corporate pilot for a company called Steel Partners, Inc.
